Geology
This collection numbers several hundred specimens, the majority of which were collected locally between Lyme Regis and Burton Bradstock.
The Hansford Collection forms a significant part of this collection. In 2007 this collection has been inventoried, conservation checked and labelled by Natural History Museum geologist Paul Ensom in February 2007 as part of an HLF funded Jurassic coast project.
This collection received over 20 significant additions through the HLF Collecting Culture Bid received in 2009/10 and all of the purchases on our behalf are on display.
