Friends of Bridport Museum

By joining the Friends of Bridport Museum, you’ll be making an important contribution towards preserving the rich heritage of our historic market town.

The Friends of Bridport Museum is an active and enthusiastic group who support us with fundraising and special events. Their funds help to:

  • Keep entry to the Museum free for everyone
  • Maintain the Grade II* Listed Building
  • Buy items for the collection
  • Support the conservation of the collections
  • Run community and family-friendly events

Most significantly, they raised an incredible £9000 towards supporting the Museum’s major redevelopment in 2017.

Committee Officers
Chris Prideaux- Chair
Caro Everall- Secretary
Ian Johnson- Membership Secretary

We are delighted to find the museum modern and invigorated without having lost any of its aged charm. (And some of us are old enough to remember it in the 1950s and 60s!)’ – Caro Everall, Secretary to the Friends

The Friends is run by a small committee who support the Museum in running events. However, the financial backbone of our society is all the lovely people from near and far who recognise the museum as the asset that it is, and continue paying their subs annually‘ –  Chris Prideaux, Chair of the Friends
