ROPE AND NET MAKING

In national terms this is arguably the most important collection held by the Museum as it aims to represent the history and ongoing development of Bridport. The collection includes two net-making machines as well as other machinery that were used in the process, samples of rope, twine and net, hackles and other implements. The collection is supported by archive material.
