Art in quarantine!

The Museum may be closed, but creativity abounds behind the scenes! Staff, volunteers and members of the public have been posting pictures of themselves online dressed as their favourite paintings. The initiative, started by the Getty in LA and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, goes under the hashtag #tussenkunstenquarantaine– or ‘between art and quarantaine’. People from all around the globe are getting inventive during lockdown, and producing pictures that range from the sublime to the ridiculous! 

We are still giggling at what our volunteers have produced… this kind of things brings out the best creative ideas in people! We’d love for Bridport people to have a go at their own- the Art Uk website is a fab source of inspiration.. And you get extra kudos if you take on one of the paintings in our own collection!.
