Bridport Museum celebrates 93 years by honouring two very special friends.
On the 27 May Bridport Museum Trust organised a wonderful cream tea and fizz, for volunteers and friends of the Museum to celebrate their 93rd birthday, and to honour ex-Mayor Geoff Ackerman, and Founding Chair – Sandra Brown MBE for their dedicated service to Bridport Museum over many decades.
Current chair of Bridport Museum Trust, Emma Squire, outlined the exciting developments and plans for the museum as it runs up to it’s 100th birthday in 2032. Professor Karen Hunt gave a spirited presentation of the origins of Bridport Museum.
The honoured pair were presented with gifts as a thank you for their hard work and service.
‘Trustee Amanda Streatfield presented the gifts saying, ‘ Without the hard work and dedication of Sandra Brown it would be very unlikely that we would have had a museum at all, so a big thank you from the whole of Bridport!’
