Heritage Open Days

Heritage Open Days

FREE: donations welcome

We are taking part in this year’s Heritage Open Days: the UK’s biggest free heritage festival!

Entry to the Museum will be free from Tuesday 16 September to Saturday 20 September

Founded in 1932, Bridport Museum is housed in a building known as ‘The Castle’. The facade of the building goes back to Tudor times. .
Our collections and displays celebrate the town’s unique heritage: 180 million years of rocks and fossils, 2000 years of people and 800 years of rope and net making.

Entry will be free from Tuesday 16 September to Saturday 20 September.

We will be celebrating Bridport’s traditional craft with live ropemaking demonstrations – throughout the week, come and have a go!
