On 28 May 2022 we celebrate our 90th Birthday and we have a wealth of exciting volunteering opportunities to share.
We are recruiting volunteers to welcome visitors, give rope making demonstrations, work in the shop, and steward events and exhibitions. Our training programme will also help you share the town’s heritage with locals and tourists alike.
It’s a great way to keep you connected with your local community, expand your learning and have fun.
We would love to welcome new recruits this Summer and help make the next 90 years of the Museum’s story!
New volunteers will be joining a welcoming and friendly team.
Opportunities to volunteer are available six days a week including Saturdays.
You can join a regular shift or be on our stand-in rota if you aren’t looking for a regular commitment.
